Dulwich College Shanghai
Dulwich College Shanghai, founded in 2003, is in the tree-lined Minhang District. It is a branch of Dulwich College in Pudong Biyun International Community and the first branch of Dulwich College in China. The school has a rigorous academic curriculum alongside programs for physical and mental health development.
The school offers different opportunities to encourage the development of an all-round mindset in students academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. Currently, Dulwich College has more than 1,500 international students aged 2 to 18 from 46 countries worldwide. It is a multicultural international school.
Leadcom provided a Telescopic seating solution for Dulwich College campus theater and black box theater in this project. This installation created a unique campus aesthetic atmosphere that feels high-quality.
Black Box Theater — For this theater, we supplied and installed 195 seats of Molio LS-12601R, which were designed in gray and red color to match the enthusiastic spirit of students. The seats had a built-in electric retractable function, allowing for better space optimization and application for different scenarios.
Campus Theater — The Campus Theater has 562 seats of Molio LS-12601B installed to provide an unforgettable theater experience for its users. The wooden seats blend a deep brown shade in a transparent, warm light background, combined with the design of acoustic holes surfaced with a wood veneer seat panel. Ultimately, Molio offers exceptional seating comfort and style.
The Expansion Project of Shaanxi Art Museum
The expansion project of the Shaanxi Art Museum is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Yannan 1st Road and Ci’en East Road, Qujiang New District.
The museum has a construction area of 40,000 square meters, two floors underground and six floors above ground, alongside a rehearsal hall and an art gallery. It is a center for product exhibitions, sales, mass cultural activity, and folk art collections.
For this project, Leadcom designed the telescopic bleacher based on the beam size of the venue. This allows the bleachers to easily go under the beams when completely retracted, which creates additional space.
The telescopic bleacher uses a built-in battery control drive system, which controls the bleacher to expand and retreat for additional space. Also, the front row can independently expand and retract as a temporary rest area or seat for people with disabilities.
It’s also worth noting that the two sides adopt a close-off design to avoid the risk of spectators accidentally walking and falling from the telescopic bleacher.
